Mac: different Ps plugins, depending ...


forgive me i'm bit of newbie when comes mac applications, please tell me how following happen? ... , advise remedy ...

 

presumably, i've installed photoshop correctly, i.e., using installer , accepting defaults, creates ps app icon in tray points @ app in folder: '/applications/adobe/adobe photoshop cs5.1/'.  tried topazlabs plugins, chose use nik plugins  instead, followed tl uninstallation instructions , no tl plugins show in '/applications/adobe/adobe photoshop cs5.1/plug-ins/'.  installing nik puts 'google' folder same plugins folder. tray icon start instance of ps nik plugins ... ...

 

from lightroom, if choose "edit in" ps, start another instance of ps, , ps shows topazlabs plugins!  if create additional external editor lr , point @ app in above '/applications/adobe/adobe photoshop cs5.1/' folder, use opened instance of ps has nik plugins.  is, primary lr reference ps shows topaz plugins, while secondary reference ps shows nik plugins(?)

 

even stranger, finder if right-click image file , choose open ps, open yet instance of ps shows tl and nik plugins(??)

 

also--and don't know if behaviour related--but commonly see error messages imply ps application has moved(?)

 

please advise ...  tia

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
