Thread: Install Ubuntu 12.04: Kernel Panic occured switching back to text console


hi
trying install ubuntu 12.04 '..desktop i386.iso'
tried 4-5 times still getting kernel panic error.
both bootable usb drive , cd.
system: dell studio xps 1340; windows vista 64

i'm trying run 12.04 desktop live cd on older system has 9.x on got currupted upgrade attempts. burned iso less 10x speed 10x or higher not recognized cdrom.

caps lock , scroll lock keys flashing on keyboard well.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
