Thread: How to Configure the Swap of Memory


hi,
using ssd 8g memory, , swap partition 16g.
use htop inspect usage of memory. , find that, once memory usage go above 4g, ubuntu use begin swap memory swap, , stop use more memory, stop @ around 4g.
ubuntu 64 bit, so, use 8g.
there place configure that, after memory usage above 7g, ,begin swap memory swap partition. otherwise, great waste of 8g memory.
disabling swap partition simplest way. need keep swap partition, need enable hibernate feature.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
