Thread: screen sleeping problem


i've installed 12.04 , having problem when screen sleeps. when leave laptop running , screen sleeps disconects internet , when unlock screen in trying connect every wifi signal can find. popup box asking password won't close no matter way try , way can use laptop again restarting! tell me how make sure laptop stays connected when screen sleeps?

have setup computer boot without need enter password?

try right clicking on wireless icon, select settings>wireless , select wireless name. in options section "check" of "tick" box marked "available users". may asked password - enter if necessary.

dialogue box may appear asking password. if booting without having enter password , not want box requesting password every time not put in - press [ok] , when asks if want use in unsafe mode click [ok].

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
