Thread: Chromium destabilizing my laptop causing it to slag


hello people

not sure if right place post have been experiencing performance issues when chromium running computer runs slow , freezing seconds or minutes @ time. have dell latitude xt 1.6gb of ram available ubuntu 64bit 12.04/12.10, cpu dual core, intel core2 duo running @ 800mhz 1200mhz. issues occurs in ubuntu versions.

when renice chromiums instances nice 1 computer stable again , works smoothly chromium included.

question/suggestion guys : there way can make chromium run on nice value 1 time load application, since when manually renice it runs smoothly. hardware spec pretty standard think reasonable tone down chromuim resource appetite notch.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
