Thread: 11.10 won't boot on VIA EPIA-MS system


hello,

have ubuntu 11.10 loaded on external hdd , boots fine on intel atom system. when try load on old via epia-ms system eden esp10k processor, grub fine when select os boot (ubuntu 11.10), goes black screen , stays there until system restarts after few minutes , goes grub.

edit: on via system, go grub ok exception grub menu flows of right , bottom of screen , cut off. there resolution issue there have no idea if affecting booting.

(1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
