Moving Photoshop Elements & files from Windows XP to 8.1


after major upgrade of pc temporarily have pse (10) on drive running on xp platform, photos on separate "data-drive".

 

question:  how can best make programme , files work on new win8.1-platform/drive without loss of data?  in short:  start, , how proceed?  can install pse on 8.1 drive , connect pse catalog, , if so: how?

it difficult match xp catalog new platform xp file paths contain “documents & settings pictures etc” whereas w7 & w8 has libraries.

 

it’s best use backup & restore, means copying database , photos pse10 on old machine , using restore custom location on w8 machine.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
